They do delivery, just charge an arm and a leg... We rent one on occasion at work, just the much larger ones.

Although at these prices he should just hire someone to do the work for him and let them take the risk.

I'm on a slab and have had much heavier items taking up less floor space than a scissor lift...

If I really needed to use one for the height Id have zero issues driving it in my house?

it's not the overall weight. it's the fact that it's dispersed on tiny rock hard wheels in very small contact patches.

i mean, also ( i can't believe this is even a convo) depending on your floors, you're going to fuck shit up. crack tile, hurt hardwood, whatever.

I would cruise that bitch in through the garage and be set.

I would have ZERO doubts driving it onto the laminate flooring I have either. My old reef tank weighs a good amount more than a scissor lift and it didnt do anything to the flooring...

I don't think I would drive it on a nice tile but even if that is set correctly I don't think it would break either.

My honest thought though is it sounds like he's doing something with a chandelier, I would just hire an electrician to do it for the cost of all this rental BS. I'm coming in at the middle of the conversation though.

I'm on a slab. The entire house is one floor, it might be 3/4" from, the driveway into the garage which a scissor lift would do with ease.

Right, but if the cost is the same for scaffolding or if you pay an electrician, why go through all the BS of renting scaffolding and doing it yourself?

Theres an exterior man door there but the threshold is nothing for a scissor lift to drive over.
