So....I spent literally all night (till about 3) analyzing the movie from a Star Wars fan perspective and from a casual movie goer perspective and my opinion remained the same as it did when the movie ended.
It was not good...at all.
The writing was awful.
The humor was forced and cringe worthy and felt so out of place with most of the characters.
Snoke was a total throwaway character. All this buildup for him and nothing. Killed like a bitch.
Luke was a total throwaway character.
Mark Hamill 100% phones his scenes in, seemed to not give a shit about the movie.
All the stupid ass extra creatures and puppets added no value.
Finn is 100% useless.
Poe is more or less usless.
They gave no ending to Leia
The casino scene was horrible. Hey, lets free some giant dogs then ride through a field for 10 minutes.
Benicio Del Toro could have been amazing but again, another throwaway.
Phasma, throwaway
Everything had no flow...just felt like no one wanted to be there. In the end, it felt like a Disney family movie rather than a Star Wars movie.
