People's property taxes should be reflected upon how many kids you have in a home. The more kids you have, the higher the property tax you pay.

I have zero kids at the moment, and shouldn't have to pay for Shaniqua and her 7 babies to terrorize the school district at my cost.

However, people move to better school districts because the teachers are paid more and get a better quality of teaching. The average intelligence of the kids there should be higher, and even if your kid isn't as smart, they'll network with people who are and learn from them.

I'm completely against all income and property taxes. I don't owe society a thing, unless I'm utilizing something that cost $$.

Who said I was complaining?

6,800 here. Not really horrible by “Illinois standards” for the size of the Home and a corner lot.

But in the end every other state minus Cali is better.

And I can’t leave because wife needs to be by family. Otherwise I would pee on this state on my way out. It’s a shit hole

Taxes mean nothing without knowing your house/condo/whatever you live in, land, school district, location and etc....

This comparison literally makes no sense without more info.

The point wasn't to do a cost analysis comparison of what type of place you live in, otherwise I would've asked for that information.

Was just curious how much $$ people are throwing away each year
