my home tv turned on while i was in st louis over the weekend because i tried to play songs on a tv where i was at...

it was on when i got home 2 days later.

so

not having something that could get burn in was likely a good move on my part

I will say, since Gawker got booted, they put A TON of kinja deals up. It's almost annoying how many there are at this point. And their political articles are crazy left, even for me...

But seriously, that TV deal is fucking awesome...kind of wish I was in the market

well, this caught my eye. might have to go to the store to see how the picture really is

https://www.target.com/p/vizio-d-ser...3/-/A-53281245

and it is on the website but not the target app. and based off the target app it is cheaper than the same tv in 55" by $100.00

Everything just works, all built in..it's awesome. Looks great for games, 4k content, HDR...sure I've seen better, but I bought 2 TVs for less than 1 of the 'premium' 4k's.

more importantly, the wife loves it so that's all that matters.

Would not have thought a TCL would be recommended.

Are 60" TV's getting phased out by manufacturers? I'm seeing mainly 55" or 65" TV's now.

I have a 47" TV and am looking to upgrade, but 55" isn't a huge jump. 65" almost seems too big? My viewing distance is approximately 10 feet. What do you guys think?

Well if you think it's good enough, guess it's time to get one myself. Every time I'm out at Wally world or Best Buy, I eye fuck the TCL's but never pull the trigger.

My biggest win with the TCL/Roku TV is that everything works with one remote. It replaced 2-3 remotes. Huge app selection, easy to get to OTA TV and Xbox. Plus the TV talks to the receiver too for volume. I love that I donít have to leave instructions on how to use the TV. Itís replaced Apple TV (I can still stream photos and videos through the Roku app) and other peripheries that are now built in.
