Sorry gais, anyone interested in a Reznor gas heater for the Larger than poverty size/pole barn?

My dad got it from work years ago and gave it to me which I have to use for it still. I believe it works. Most stuff he got from there they only discarded due to going with New.

My poverty heater project.

So since this thing is temporary, I didn't exactly want to leave it on the ground to take up space, so I made a mount. I'm going to put a hole through the side area and plumb the hose outside to hook up to the LPG tank and gromet the hole. I also have a switch I'm setting up for it there on the along with the interior and exterior lights.

It'll do me for now

How so? Ample space, and runs intermittently. Body never gets hot and it points downward

Soo those of you with the electric heaters. How well are you liking them now that this post has been a year old?

I have a 2 car garage with a 240v pro-fusion electric heater. It works well for my garage. Plus it was free. I just had to add the wiring to the unit which wasn't hard.

This. I'm also curious what the cost to run these are. My garage is under the 2nd story bedrooms. Walls are all insulated with r-13. Was thinking about throwing an insulated door on and since the wiring is right there for the hot tub I got rid of I'd wire in the electric heater and set the t stat to 50F. To keep the bedrooms warmer

This was one of those things where I beat myself up about not having done this 15yrs ago when I moved in. It was one of my best home improvements I've made. I need to get better garage doors in the spring for insulation but it stays so nice and toasty in there.

I thought I'd see significant increase in my electric bill over those months but it was nominal.
Well worth it.

thank you! going to have an electrician come out and go over the plug and the panel. it's not labeled all that great and i am afraid of house electricity. Then look at getting one.

Gas > electric IMO - but either way, having a heated garage is AWESOME. I should have put one in YEARS before I did.

I would think to keep it warm all the time would cost decent money I had an electric base bored in my old house in just one bathroom when I turned it on I could see the difference on my bill only 15-20 bucks a month but it was also like 75sq feet

My life story every time I think about changing the layout of my house or possibly adding a 2.5 car garage in the back...

"Man, it would be nice..." "It's just cheaper to move and find a place...." Damnit.

150K house, 50K shop, value of 180k together. Good times.
