hmmm. 5" narrower, but significantly more storage because the top shelf isn't as useless...

I also unloaded all parts of my box and assembled myself.

The only part I regret is putting the top on the bottom from being flat on the floor. That hurt a bit.....................

I'm thinking $299 harbor freight 44" topper is my best bet since I already have a nice toolbox. That way I can start storing all my weird odds and ends somewhere instead of just having them sit around my workshop.

I wouldn't primarily focus on CI of space, drawer count and drawer configuration is typically more important unless you just want a free standing 2 shelf cabinet. That has tons of space

right,

that's why i am leaning towards the kobalt.

the top open area seems pointless to me on the milwaukee, and the super deep drawers on the bottom don't seem like i'd get much use out of them either

i mean wrapping paper and scotch tape will fit inside pretty shallow drawers

Hate to be the guy that constantly brings up HF but for $898 for the Kobalt, spending almost 1g out the door you could spend $1,158 and have a much bigger and better toolbox

56" Top adds an extra 15,600 cu. in. of tool storage capacity and is designed to fit on top of the US General Pro 11 Drawer Industrial Quality Roller Cabinet sold separately.
$409
https://www.harborfreight.com/tool-s...est-61370.html

Bottom 56in. holds 25,363 cu in. of storage space and can hold up to 3458 lb. of tools
$749
https://www.harborfreight.com/56-in-...net-67681.html

You can also still add both side cabinets to that box too

I like that it seems like the box isn't a "black Friday special" like some of the home Depot boxes

I keep on looking at this as the perfect piece for in front of my Z. Can move it when I need to pull the motor in a car on that side and higher height for using it as a work surface for woodworking.

I want to get dat Milwaukee box and dat Milwaukee cart pictured above so I can be a part of this thread... My main box is a MAC Tools Dale Earnhardt SR. Edition and I have a older Snapon box but I can always use more toolboxes.

I think that's the route I'm going. I went and checked it out tonight. While I think I prefer the 18drawer configuration this one feels more premium than that one.

Exactly why I am going this route as well. Less drawers but they are deeper, and makes 3,000 cubic inch more room. And the textured coating will be nice.

The other option was the 46" Milwaukee 18 drawer was nice.

My fiancee will get it Friday when they open hopefully...

Mine has 8 in stock. I work at 7 but I'm showing up at 6 with someone hoping I can point them in the direction and then leave.. I've never done the black Friday shopping thing before

I know they're not tool boxes, but if anyone's been eyeing the Gladiator Garage storage cabinets they're on sale at Home Depot online till the 29th it looks like. Might be buying a few of them to go along with the mobile workshop I've been eyeing.
