so here is the google street view, two pines are dead, and that third one was permitted to grow with a split trunk, the left side is angled and seems to be directly in line with falling on the neighbors living room? The urgency lies with an ACTUAL split in the wood at the split of the trunk if you look close.

Same boat. I have a honey locust that I HATE (whoever invented the locust tree should be strung up by their nuts).

I had Family Tree just down the street from me qoute $1,300 for removal (which was the cheap side), and then Kramer and a couple others pushing $3k for the same.

As long as they're licensed and insured...

It's definitely not cheap, but when it has a chance to hit a house it's best to call in pros. I did mine a few years ago and used a place called Steve's tree service.

Their number is on the truck:

Totally worth it when you find out that one of the largest limbs going right over your roof looks like this on the inside:

THat shit in the last pic happened to me with our old willow tree. I had just parked in front of the garage (which was under a large limb of the tree), got out of the car (a Buick Century), gotten to the back door, when I hear this weird creaking and cracking sound, just as I turn around I watch the limb fall, bounce off the roof of the Buick and down to the ground.

Turned out, some bees took residence in that branch, hollowing it out, weakening it.

I used to work as a arborist, sadly it's been so long I don't know anyone that still runs a business or does it on the side.

You are looking at a few thousand for the work as mentioned the licensing and insurance is insane for that business.

When you get the quotes ask what the largest maw size is on their chipper, you can save a good chunk of money but just having it chipped onsite. I'd measure the trunk of that 3rd tree to see how big the circumference is. If they have to bring in a log hauler with a boom you can add 500-1500 easily to the cost. Most tree service companies can't do anything with those trunks and that's where the cost is, the mulch they sell and make additional profit off of.

I just had some trimming done by "Reasonable and Convenient Tree Service"

Carlos Leon; Insured.

630-901-2718

Its a crew of Mexicans with older equipment, but they did a decent job for VERY reasonable money, 1/3rd the cost of a lot of quotes I got.

They did an exceptional job with the Cleanup as well, which I didn't really expect given the cost being so low.

Do you want a legit company? Or someone who can just do it?
You want full removal? Tree gone and stumps gone also?
