What the hell happened to dealer service?

Trying to get the GF's Highlander in for first 5k mile service and the only hours they can offer are M-F 8-4 and same hours for Saturday.... What the fuck kind of hours are those for dealer service?

When I was at Sutton we had Tuesdays and Thursday service until 9PM and Saturday until 7PM...

A dealer rant would be when they try selling you a "flood damaged" titled M3 for full used market value when it was worth half that and the only "negotiation" they wanted to do was a couple hundred off asking. They didn't even want to give me a CarFax when I asked for it and ended up paying one for myself (thankfully I did that) and played "dumb" when I brought up the "flood" title to their attention. For that, I will never do business with the Chrysler dealership in Elgin.

Negative. It's been many years. I think this was around 2005ish. So there's the assumption that they don't or wouldn't do it anymore, but the damage is done in my eyes. Unless they absolutely have a GREAT deal on a vehicle I want, I will shop elsewhere.

From the looks of it, they replaced everyone
Although I was really cool with most of the service personnel when it was Feeney they always had some shady fucking salesman.

That's good to know. I didn't have any problems with tech or service. It was sales and management. They were the worst and didn't care about the consumers.

Every shop and dealership I've worked for the past 13yrs the service and parts departments usually only stayed open until 5pm. One stayed open until 6pm. Even the none dealer shops I've worked at.

That's actually really good hours on a Saturday. Most stay open until noon if they are even open.

Most dealers let you pickup the car "after hours" The service department might be closed but as long as sales is open they should have a cashier to check you out and a porter to bring you the car.

Monday - Friday 6:00am-11:00pm
Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm

Picking up is not really an issue. It's even getting the car there. For your average working person Saturday is going to be the absolute only open day available
