PACIFIC RIM 2 Title Confirmed as Filming Begins

The only thing that makes me go "Wut??" is this blurb.

We know the movie stars Boyega and newcomer Cailee Spaeny, and though del Toro (who's producing while Steven S. DeKnight directs) has said that "a lot" of the first film's cast will return, we know Charlie Hunnam won't be coming back and I feel like chances are pretty small Elba will show up in anything beyond a quick cameo if at all. The film arrives in theaters on February 23, 2018.

News Flash. Idris' character is DEAD. They detonated the nuke backpack while still inside. Pentecost is dead. So it could only be a flashback sequence.

It really was not that great.

It was a great movie in the Genre. I got exactly what i expected along with a great hard rock guitar type soundtrack.

And GlaDOS' voice too.

I didn't expect anything other than Giant Robots beating the crap out of Giant Monsters, and it delivered. Its a mindless popcorn flick, and I'm okay with that.

It didn't live up to the massive hype, but that's why I typically don't pay attention to that. I enjoyed it. Will see this.

Oh and good riddance on Hunnam, he was terrible in the 1st.

Its a movie that promised giant robots fighting giant monsters, and IMO, it delivered. Dont look at it as anything more than that. In for 2.
