The only issue is its proprietary cameras and nvr. Youre stuck with lorex.

Other then that, its decent equipment.

Box sets suck. I'll always say that for the most part. You get what you see and that's it. Want to expand? Stuck with their crap brand. Want to try more expensive cameras or much better cameras on their nvr?...can't...

Best setup is built not bought.

Run free software like milestone xprotect go on a old PC or a $400 i3/i5 with 1tb storage.

8 port POE switch $50

And spend the rest on decent poe cameras ranging in price from $50-250 with good reviews.

No proprietary garbage. No box kits with proprietary software. No third party service handling all your video that streams over the internet...through their servers...usually in China...to allow you to see your cameras remotely.
