i don't fish. i'm under the impression you generally do something to take out the brain pretty quick. some lazy googling seems to indicate this is so?

Could have been dead already and just reflex moving the mouth. Did anyone see the shark week vid where they just cut the fins off the sharks and throw them back in the water? Leaving them to struggle and die that was upsetting I thought.
