Coyote or racoon most likely. Those things get nailed on a daily basis out here in the woods. I can hear them in the middle of the night screaming bloody murder, then coon sounds.

We also have coyotes EVERYWHERE out here this time of year.

Unfortunately that cat has since passed, but he used to bring home a rabbit head with spine and nothing else to our porch. One time we had a disembowled small raccoon and one opossum as well. I can assure you he was a normal cat.

Given the size I would say that it was a baby rabbit and the killer more then likely was probably a skunk since they do eat rabbits. I have witnessed it myself on several occasions...

i big wabbit would be about 2 foot long stretched out, yours is missing some parts lol but still looks to be smaller, i shot one once that had to weigh 20lbs it was a big fucker, tasted delicious with some bbq on the grill
