What did you do today - Home Improvement Edition

So i know many of you are homeowners. Ive been doing alot of projects lately and want to see some of yours. I'll start.

Refinished these chairs/table that i built with my dad probably 15 years ago. Replaced a few boards, sanded it down, etc etc.

Nice projects!

I took the gasket off my lanai beer fridge, cleaned it and used Vaseline to soften it up. Reinstalled it but it still wasn't sealing well enough after 3 years of sitting outside in Florida. I added a 2" velcro strip and it now seals like new again. I didn't want to dump the fridge just because of a bad seal. There is no replacement gasket available so it was either install the velcro or use a generic gasket.

It now doubles as a breathalyzer since, if I can't figure out the velcro, I'm too drunk to drink.

Nice work guys! I don't do that home improvement stuff, it sucks. I am busting my tail cleaning my pool lately tho so I can use it for the first time since moving into this house just over a year go. It was a wreck.

I fixed a leak in my backflow device and replaced the seals in a couple of sprinkler heads yesterday. Other than that, mostly yard work.

All the rock that is pictured under the porch was removed, I put the brick down and also added sod that wraps around.

Although the brick job isn't near perfect, I still like it. In the market for a grill now then we'll add lattice around the porch and it'll be completed.

We have a few towns in our listings. Hoffman Estates, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Algonquin. Right now we are waiting to hear about an offer we put on a house in Hanover. Schaumburg school district in the area we are looking.

I CANNOT wait to gut my basement/lower level. Its top of my list after my wedding. Going down to the studs, adding insulation, new drywall, adding lighting, trenching in a drain for new shower. Its 1970s wood paneling right now .
