I am going with something more along the lines of option B in that one. Option A assuming it is some sort of super-gargantuan creature, just seems a bit more far-fetched than a geologic phenomenon being the point of origin of that sound. I mean seriously, who would believe it was option A besides some sort of Jules Verne type?!? Some people have a bit too much of an active imagination.
