This would be horrible :(

Actor Paul Walker, best known for the Fast and the Furious movie series, died in a “fiery car crash” on Saturday, according to TMZ:

The accident happened in Santa Clarita — north of Los Angeles — and according to multiple sources connected to Paul … the actor was in a Porsche when the driver somehow lost control and slammed into a post or a tree … and then the car burst into flames.
Several of our sources — some who are still at the scene of the accident — tell us Paul and another person in the car were killed. Law enforcement is still on the scene, and we’re told the L.A. County Coroner’s Office is on the way.

So far, TMZ is the only outlet reporting the death, and lists the story as “developing,” although they are also running a photograph of the crash scene.

I'm so confused. There are multiple outlets reporting that he's dead but his rep says he's alive... Assuming that's his rep. Someone is wrong but that forum post looks real and there are legitimate news outlets reporting this now.

I'm tempted to just drive up there.

Finally got the local Santa Clarita story to load:

Two people were killed Saturday afternoon when a Porsche sports car crashed and burst into flames in Valencia, and initial reports indicated the driver was actor Paul Walker.

The single-car crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Hercules Street near Constellation Road in the Rye Canyon Business Park, fire officials said.

Spectators gathered at the scene, and several said the driver was the star of “The Fast and the Furious” series of films. One witness at the scene said he tried to put the fire out and recognized Walker inside the vehicle.

Walker is said to have business ties to Always Evolving Performance Motors, located down Constellation from the scene of the crash. Always Evolving hosted an open house and car meet on Saturday.

The red Porsche was reduced to unrecognizable twisted metal in the single-car crash.

“At the conclusion of the accident the vehicle struck a light standard and the whole car was burned,” a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman said. The two occupants of the vehicle were unable to get out in time, he said.

A sheriff’s deputy at the scene said the Porsche driver appeared to have lost control of the car, which hit a tree. Both a tree and a light standard were downed at the scene.

Spectators gathered at the crash site as the afternoon darkened into evening, held back from going too close by yellow caution tape. One, who was quite agitated, said he was concerned one of the dead in the sports car was a prominent actor.

A yellow Honda sports car was inside the taped area along with the remains of the Porsche.
