Yeah, I have a few buddies coming by this weekend to help put it together.

Hopefully, doesn't take more than a day.

It's still holding up fine. It has some dirt and staining on the roof from the leaves. It had a little bit of snow and ice in the winter.
We ended up using some kind of fence post anchors. We did fill and level the underneath part with gravel.

Bought a bagger for my mower, had to change from mulching to regular blades. They didn't want to come off for the life of me. Happy fathers day to me! 1/2 mid torque is a beast. Breaker bar wouldn't move them. Impact, zip zip and they're off. Awesome. Name: 20180608_112650.jpg

I'm a huge fan of the Fuel Mid Torque. I've busted out my Ingersoll maybe twice since picking one up.

Haha yeah it has some bite to it when set on three for sure. I literally threw my breaker bar across the garage floor and hopped in the truck to go to farm and fleet. Wasted a half hour fucking with it, no more. Buy two bare tools, free 9.0 starter kit. Done and done.

My washing machine broke a few weeks ago so I bought a new one. Dryer got lonely and broke a couple days ago.

My mower broke last month and my A/C was down today and needs a new coil. Luckily under warranty but still a big labor cost.

I don't want to pay much for a dryer now.

So, looking on craigslist, there was a FREE one that "works fine". Guy was given a newer set so he was giving the dryer away (already gave the washer away).

Great! I can use this one and take my time picking up another. I borrowed a friend's pickup and Amy and I headed out to get it.

Dryer pigtail is off. Guy throws in a 4 prong. No big deal. 3 bolts. I get home and, of course, my dryer is a 3 prong. So I take the pigtail off the old dryer and transfer it.

Oops. The nuts are supposed to be locked in place but two of them are missing. Off to Lowes to get nuts and bolts. Then, there's no room to get my fingers in and I need to hold a needle nose with the nut, a screwdriver with the screw and a flashlight. You see the problem.

I dropped 5 nuts into the back of the dryer and then stopped. Took off an access panel to get the nuts back. Time to wait for Amy to get home.

She did and held the flashlight. Success! I put the pigtail on, hooked up the vent and plugged it in. Whoosh! I have a dryer.

Until load 2. Amy calls me and I walk in to hear a "Buzzz". Push the start button and Buzz, Buzz. Damn. Motor is either shot, has something clogging it or needs to be lubed. I had Amy hold the door button down, spun the drum and pushed the button. Starts no problem. I closed the door and pushed the button again. Starts again no problem. Probably lint jamming it and/or needs some grease. Guess I get to take the entire dryer apart to get to it. Yay.

Amy and I took the dryer apart and cleaned/vacuumed it out. Next time I'll wear gloves. One slice on a knuckle from the dryer and another slice on my thumb when I was opening up a bottle of wine afterwards.

Dryer seems to work fine now. I'll try it with a load of clothes later.

Also get a damn headlamp! And none of that cheap bulb LED you find in stores.

Get one of these, Skilhunt H02 or H03 and pick up a 18650 battery + charger. Rechargeable headlight goodness. Youre welcome.

That's a good idea.

Ran a load and dryer works fine. It's old but actually dries better than our previous one. Price was right.

Previous owner was a good guy to give it away instead of tossing it. He lived in a gated community so nobody would have picked it up if he left it outside.

I do the same thing when an appliance breaks but I put it on the curb with a "FREE" sign on it and a short explanation of what's wrong with it. If I put it out a few days before garbage day, it's gone by the time I would need to call the garbage co. Those older parts are expensive so, if a repair guy can get them for nothing, it helps out him and his customers.

Down here, there's a lot less tossing and a lot more re-use than in Illinois. I learned I don't have to buy new every time.

I did buy a new washing machine a couple weeks ago because there weren't any decent ones on craigslist that weren't too much money for used. Plus I have the warranty on that one. Plus it was on sale.

Not really anything special, but i put this in the garage. They had drywall over the window, so I closed it up. Have to do the same to the other window, minus adding the A/C.Name: 20180615_195651.jpg

.

I have a similar A/C unit in my cabin and it stays nice & cool, even in the high 90's.
Insulation will make the biggest difference I would guess.
The bad part is you can't use that model on a timer

Easy peasy.

Meant to be a wall hanger
extra board on the bottom needs to be routered out, to have slots to hold wine glasses upside down
