just run two lines of masking tape run your line between the two pieces of tape. run your finger through it then pull the tape. Done.

Another pro-tip, take a cup of water in with you, dip your finger in the cup then run it along the bead.... Wipe off your finger and then wet it again to continue running beads....

Smoother beads and the caulk won't stick to your finger when you wipe it off.

I didn't even attempt it, the paint on the walls are fresh and I didn't wanna fuck it up any worse. I just ran a thicker line and covered up her mess.

Still working on my HF MIG welder. I've added the new feed mechanism (the old one needed a feed wheel and I couldn't get parts for it any more.) The addition was surprisingly easy. I drilled 3 holes, and did a bit of work with a half round file and it fit quite well.

Up next, I am adding a relay and an independent 24V power supply for the motor feed. The stock one taps off the high current transformer so it's really crappy at lower current settings not to mention you get an oscillatory wire feed as the arc causes the voltage to sag slightly.

I just use a wet rag to smooth the bead. Works like a charm.

Sounds a little high for 8 sheets of drywall.....

I'm guessing a good amount of that will be hidden behind cabinets and backsplashes so it doesn't have to be a flawless finish. I say do it yourself if you have the tools.

I have the tools and can do it myself like teal cobra said, I just assume of it was $350-$400 since it's pretty straight forward then great. But I've taped most of it already lol just need to mix up more compound to finish the cieling.
