Pressure Ratio So far I only have two track days I'm signed up for. Then 4-5 AutoX days I plan to go to.

Drag racing, we'll see what happens. I'm not sure about that yet. haha But I'm sure it will happen at some point.

But I have been driving the car a lot. This weekend's rain didn't even deter me from driving it. Which was cool as the Iron Gate Condo monthly Cars & Coffee was pretty full for having misting rain and drizzle.

haha no doubt. Even skinny people complain about the seat backs on the comfort seats. They really do sit between your shoulder blades and dig in when you steer and shift. Not painful but uncomfortable and awkward more than anything.

The narrow back seats are comfortable for the most part. I am sure they are attempting to keep the look of the classic late 1960/1970's highback seat styling. The new 991.2 & 992 still offer a similar style seat. Along with other racier styles. Including a $10k optional carbon fiber seat.

The current seat offering.

Pressure Ratio Not yet. Waiting to get protectant on them first.

The only downside is the upkeep on Alcantara. lol

Jeffs FRC How many times have you queefed in the new seats?

Pressure Ratio So the only option the car didn't have that I wanted was the power Adaptive Sport seats. These seats are full power, has stiffer foam, have back that supports your shoulders, and have adjustable bolsters.

A while back I found a set for sale out of a 12k mile, 2010 GT3. They have the optional Alcantara insets and fire extinguisher. I finally got the chance to install them Saturday. They also have the optional painted seat backs and trim. The car they came out of was silver. I don't mind the look but someday I may paint them, the console, and some other parts the color of my car. Or I may paint the other stuff silver. Since there is silver accents in the car already, I think it would work well even though it isn't what the factory does with painted interior parts.

These were out of a 997.2 car and I have a 997.1. Of course, no one could confirm if they would work or not. Put the passenger seat in and it worked. Wewhoo! Put the drivers' side in and no workie. D'oh! No power to the seats. Mine has a huge memory seat module that powers the seats. The 997.2 seats don't have that. So a buddy convinced me to take a shot of just adding power to the plug still being used. I took the wiring plug apart and stole power from the other plug. Bingo! Seats work perfectly.

I cleaned up the wiring and took some quick pics. The seats had been in a skid for over a month. There are some wrinkles from that. I'll steam the wrinkles out, clean them, and then use a protectant on the leather and Alcantara.

The old seats were comfortable in every way but one. The narrow backs sat right between my shoulder blades. It was really annoying. The sport seats don't have that issue. They definitely are more supportive and firm. But still comfortable. The support is great and with the adjustable upper and lower bolsters can really squeeze you in the seats. I am beyond happy with the seats. Plus they just look better. lol
