I had a buddy that is buidling another car over winter...so I called him up, by the time we hit Rockford...he was halfway done pulling it out of his car. loaded it into the back of my winter beater....swung by my house, backed the gtp into the driveway, picked up tools, and headed back.
changed it out right where it sat by the starting line. whoever had that car before got weld happy. they welded the brake line bracket to the rearend..along with the control arm reloaction brackets. BJ..one of the owners of byron called his buddy...brought over a angle grinder so the welds could go bye bye.
needless to say we were there until 11:30pm. got it running, then my car wouldnt start(headlights were on) so bump start it, and away we went. locked up when we left and we made sure to tip the waitress.
