Well, decided to pull the trigger...have always loved the Flex (I know it's a love it or hate it design). EcoBoost, and all the goodies. Pick it up Friday, needed an alignment. Goodbye Expo; hello Flex.

This was had with a 3 year warranty, I'm also afraid of the warranty aspect, unless Livernois can guarantee dealer can't find out

From everything I've read (and I spent months debating and researching), the dealer can't find out. But no matter who your tuner, a Ford engineer sent in to investigate will always be able to tell if you flashed the ECU.

Yeah, I'm afraid of the turbos letting go, especially if I'm upping the boost. From what I've read, it's not all the uncommon for the turbos to go around 100K

I've heard all sides of it. People with no tune and the motor or turbo blows, people with tunes and meth injection and they go 100k miles or more. You'd have to assume though that tuning increases your risk for sure though.

That said, it is such a crazy night and day difference with a tune on there! Blew me away how much $400 in mods (tuner and 3 bar MAP sensor) could change the car.

Leave it be under warranty. Maybe an intake to hear it more and be done.

One thing I've learned, on Ford vehicles, is to leave the intake box alone. Stock filter (not even a K&N drop in.) The Ford MAF's are super sensitive and will start to have issues with the oiled filters, especially. Most I'd do with the intake system, would go hardpipes

Thinking about getting a tune for my Escape... Just hesitant to kill the warranty.

Congrats on the Flex.... Only thing Im not a fan of is the multiple little sunroofs.

Livernois has tunes for the 2.0!

I've always had a liking of these, too. Don't know why. Nice pick up.

Didn't these things run a 12.9 with a tune?

Pretty close.

Fixed....get a tune custom to your car and not some canned thing!

Awesome purchase, I love the Flex's! Congrats!

Livernois tunes can be sent back for revision if you aren't comfortable. I've had mine adjusted once & only once because it was near perfect out of the box. Livernois' in-house tuner can also control way more parameters than an SCT/nGauge/HPTuners/insertyourdevicehere. They have a long-standing relationship with the Big 3's respective R&D departments. That's why they are often first to market with safe, reliable tunes for domestic vehicles.

See above. My truck has been Liv tuned for 44k miles without a single hiccup or issue. I had my tune altered once, to reduce throttle tip-in a hair because I preferred it that way.

I threw a drop-in into the truck. Haven't had any MAF issues. I also haven't oiled it, might be due for that.

I had issues on the Plunderturd with a conical, and on the Cuntour, with a drop-in. Maybe it was just a pre-2000 Ford thing...just haven't used them since. Just throw a clean stocker in every 15K miles or so, and call it a day.
