Update:

Definitely glad I sprung for the maintenance agreement...not sure how well this thing was maintained. Should have taken pictures, but the cabin air filter actually had large chunks of dirt between the pleats. Engine air filter was dirty and their were leaves and twigs and shit in the lower airbox. Haven't even run it through its first tank of gas yet.

Real test comes tomorrow. Driving out to Cleveland for a funeral, so it'll get to stretch its legs.

Yeah man...if the filters were like that, I doubt they ever changed the plugs. Takes less than an hour, all are easy except the back right one, and even that ones not too bad.

These things can go out of spec within 20k miles. For $50, its a cheap way to ensure it's making good power & getting proper fuel economy.

I would think that you could always run a colder plug safely. I think the worst that could happen is a slightly worse idle.

I would not run any other plug besides Motorcraft SP534 gapped at .030. And you do not need a tune to use them.

Just did the oil change, checked out the plug locs, yeah should be a pretty easy affair. If I have some light and time after work this week, and I get the plugs and boots, they'll go in.

I'll have to poke around and see where the intercooler is, and drain her out.

@Ryan02Stang how hard is pulling out the intercooler? From the tech drawings I'm seeing, MFer looks pretty tucked into the bumper and radiator

I've never attempted. I looked at it and it looked like a complete nightmare, so I said screw it.

Some guys end up tapping a hole in the bottom and installing a drain plug. Also, I saw on ecoboostperformance forum a guy tried this...

How to drain your CAC (Intercooler) with out taking it out.
Yeah sort of had the feeling it'd be a huge PITA. If I end up doing anything, it'll probably be the drill and tap a drain plug. When I'm doing the plugs this week, I'll take a peak underneath again and see what it looks like.

Can I add, to no ones benefit, it is absolutely stupid that owners would have to deal with some of these ecoboost BS service issues. I like the idea of the ecoboost, but I don't think I could ever own one. I do like the vehicle you picked up though.
