Next year we will have to set something up as @ekrunch and I did this year, a little Cat vs Cobra/Mustang fun. Have a bunch of Cats and Mustangs and have some fun. I'm sure @Dennisn will show too.

If my schedule allows and you need a hand wrenching one of these days, hit me up. Only a few blocks away.

Quick question, I'm looking into tuners now for my swap, any feedback/recommendations? I was looking at Lund and the nGauge, VMP SCTx4 tuner, or Brenspeed SCTx4.

Simple bolt-ons CAI, longtubes,exhaust 93oct tune only.

Happy to see the bug bit you again and it'll get more mods over the winter

I went with the sctx4 only because I had the x3 for my other car and I already knew how to data log with it and load tunes, naturally aspirated I would probably have Lund or aed tune it, the Ngauge would probably be my choice if I had to do it again

I have used both the SCT and NGauge. I like the NGauge by a lot. The tunes flash quicker. You can data log with one press of the screen, you can also use it as a gauge with up to 6 monitors. Just be aware Lund uses his own NGauge. Other tuners can not use that version NGauge. Lund will not tune with an unlocked NGauge. Something to think about when picking a tuner and flashing device.

The data logging with SCT is also not nearly as good. But if you find a deal on a SCT tuner don't be afraid if you want to go that route. SCT has worked for years and works well.

That does make sense on the blower situation. I won't have the blower on the car for another year or so

Is your car away for the season?

that means giant whipple crusher or kenne bell or gt500 vmp gen2-r like this will fit right?

Yeah uwishu1 has the vmp gen 2 On his gt, pretty sure the roush is the same as what the gt500 came with, I'm so far away from having this blower maxed there's no point in upgrading

maxing the current blower is not the point. point is switching to a larger gt500 blower worth the money for the gains? thats my question.

it's not worth upgrading until mine is maxed, yeah I could slap that blower on and make 750whp, I can also just pulley down and do the same thing, for the people with maxed out roush set up's it will be a great upgrade, I think the blower alone is $3800 for the gen 2r, my current blower is the same thing as what comes on a gt500 so a gt500 blower wouldn't be an upgrade, I went the route I did on this car to save money because that 700whp range is very easy to achieve with this blower and for a street car that's plenty of power

Price for gains no it's not worth it, it would need a fuel system to make use of the gains, the blower is expensive VMP GEN II-R TVS 2.3L Supercharger for 2007-14 GT500

Fuel system pulley down I'll make the same power as switching superchargers and save 3200 dollars

thanks thats better explination cost vs result wise.

still want to try a paxton/vortech but getting one of them requires a bit to make 750plus whp too in fuel mods long tubes ect.

paxton long tubes boss intake fuel mods and e85 still seem most likely.

this is the setup ive saved to duplicate. simple enough and results are 866.

Paxton BOSS e85 Dyno - 2015+ S550 Mustang Forum (GT, GT350, GT500, Mach 1, Ecoboost) - Mustang6G.com

mods = Paxton SL2200, 8 rib setup making 15#s, BOSS intake, FORE Fuel System, Long Tubes and a 4c Stall. Ken @ Palm Beach Dyno has been dialing her in.

ohh should also have the OPG kit beefcake racing sells tossed in too

http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBa...=1482903901222

whats the difference between the roush 2.3 blower amd the 2.3 blower that was on the 5.8 gt500 engines like the one linked above?

department of boost kit could make a blower kit pieced together with a bigger intercooler core for cheaper than the roush kit if the blowers are the same.

that blower and tb is cheap and 5.8 blowers are dropping in price too.

biggest appeal to the 5.8 blower if its the same as the roush blower used on the coyote means ANY whipple crusher kenne belle ect. ect. ect. would be a direct swap.

ohh and a joker ported tvs off a 5.8 trinity would be loud as fuck and give me gigantic smiles

come to think of it hell even if the case has same mounting holes the rest i could work around like changing snout if its not the right length.

gt500 blower or if nothing else use gt500 case buy correct snout and stuff rotor pack in = budget blower kit for coyote when paired with this.

http://www.departmentofboost.com/vbu...age-I-III-Kits

if searched enough to piece it together im sure it could be done for under 5k

Testing VMP's New Gen II TVS Supercharger System - StangTV

gen2 is a direct replacement for gen1 tvs on coyote and gt500 but it gets better.

gen1 blower cars like the roush coyote cars can be upgraded to the gen2 case for half price.

Hmmmmm wonder if id be able to upgrade a gt500 2300 tvs case to the gen2 case for half price.

if the gen2 is direct bolt on for coyote and gt500 cars wouldnt they offer the upgrade for half price for the gt500 blowers too right?

basically what im getting at is vmp upgrade to gen2 case for half the price if i bought a tvs off a 5.8 trinity blower?

that would be bigger ic core and upgraded vmp gen2 case for less money than buying a roush kit for a coyote.

ps for example a gen2 case was worth 51 hp with zero other changes on gt500 over the gen1 case.
