The 18 intake makes power up top like the boss but makes much better torque down low and in the midrange. CJ makes more power up top. Boss intake was an OK upgrade for the 2011-14 cars when it was $300. isn't worth the cost anymore.

18 intake is what everyone has a gard on for right niw it seems. Until they get the IMRC tuned and working properly im not buying it whats the point of running that 18 locked out.

Sure its cheap but its no Boss or CJ

^^^ Depends.

Even new SRT8 chargers/Challengers aside from Hellcats make less power at the tire than you and weigh a lot more. Can't really defy physics.

Race a well driven stock Hellcat and report back how well you did.

Obviously a Hellpig would stomp me.

Stock for Stock Scat Packs are like 50 more hp and have 2 more gears too so its not just about the weight.

Well, yes, stock for stock, they have 50HP more. But, a CJ car makes over 430 RWHP and probably close to 500HP at the crank and weigh about 3,800LBS compared to 4,400LBS out of the Charger/Challenger cars.

There is a reason they run mid-high 12's and trap between 110-113 MPH stock, even with 485HP.

A Stock 2016 5.0 runs faster with the right driver, two gears less or not. They are super heavy, nothing more to that explanation. A modded 5.0 is a different animal.

Got about 10 logs done on E85 sending them to AED right now.

I dunno I dont really feel that much difference. But this is a NA setup. I maybe best off keeping it on 91until its gets boostesd to take advantage of the E85 better.

Currently E85 average is a whopping 10 mpg. LOL thats aweful and doesnt feel worth it on a NA setup.

Obviously the E85 is gonna get shit mileage but the gain doesnt feel like its worth it at least on this base Flex tune.

Well see what Shaun from AED says about the logs.

The base tune I was on last weekend fucking ripped when I drove the car to Fargo and back and played with them Dodges and cammed Z06.

I couldn't feel any difference at all in my flex tune, but I went almost a full second faster at the track from stock.

Yeah. I mean no tune factory stock to tuned on E85. And a CAI, but I think that hurts its consistency

Id like to see flex tune on 91 vs E85 id expect the tune itself made a monster difference more so than the E85 though.

N/a ans e85 you may feel some lore low end & mid range torque. But that is it. Where I felt it most was normal driving. On 93 it would almost surge as you could feel the computer playing with the timing a lot. On E85 it was just smooth since it wasn't pulling timing ever. But peak hp gains are probably like 10-12 rwhp. You won't feel that by the seat of your pants.

Right thats what Im getting at too. For daily I dont think the destroyed mileage is worth the E85 LOL.

Im prolly best off keeping it on 91 for daily since it really isnt that much difference.

I have absolutely nothing to complain about with the Base File I was running and 91 last weekend in Fargo screwing around with them Dodges and the cammed Z06.

FI and E85 would obviously be far greater benefit.

Flex fuel tunes don’t maximize the e85 like a straight e85 tune does, but it’s super convenient
