OK. He likes to make sure he doesn't see anything fishy. Kind of making sure the car has a clean bill of health.

Swap parts on and start logging the CJ set up. The first tune might be a little soft. He'll make sure he sees what he wants to see in the logs. The base tune should feel pretty good since you are on the stock tune. But the second update should be another improvement as he gets more aggressive with it. Good luck with everything.

Im in a learning curve right now forsure! I understand he will prolly want a few logs from me on 91 as thats whats currently in the car before I fill up with a tank of E85 since itll be a flex fuel tune.

I could be losing my mind but I set the car to 91 octane on saturday in the tune and that alone feels wayyyy different just with that. I know forsure the shifts are different the downshift for some reason in sport mode is way harder.

Those SCTs come preloaded?

Yes, SCT comes with their own tune. They leave much to be desired. The AED tune will be a lot better. Power curve and trans shift points & firmness.

Shit im just a rookie I was happy the car shifted way better and didnt rev hang nearly as bad on the 91 tune in sport mode.

This CJ setup is pissing me off.

Repin the plug for the TB. The kit comes with the FRPP pigtale but its for the 14 and older cars. Comes with body side so its just repin it not that big of a deal.

Now the PMAS heat sheild LethalPerformance sent me is for the 14 and older too so it doesnt fit the fender apron and the PMAS elbow is too long its got to be cut down to get the boot to fit on the MAF housing and air filter fits.

Buy cutting the PMAS down ill lose the nipple for the line to the drives side breather too. So now that needs a mushroom breather filter and might as well cap the manifold on the other side and put a mushroom filter on the passenger bank too.

The PMAS to VMP sleeve is realllly fucking tight to get it on the TB.

Ive chased down everything I need and searched high and low for a step by step guide for installation on a S550. There simply isnt one especially using a VMP TB and PMAS.

This setup should kick ass and I hope its worth the fitment trouble!!

Finally!! That PMAS is such a whore and on so tight it nearly took a miracle to get it on.

Loading tune next.

They do have a proper PMAS cold air kit for the S550 Mustang with Cobra Jet manifold. I need to have LethalPerformance either send me the heat shield or get one directly from PMAS.

Yup this is way different.

1st time I smashed it I giggled like a little girl and that was only to about 6k.

I drove to town about 10 miles just a few little hits here and there gonna datalog a few pulls on my way home.

I hear those PMAS intakes perform, but holy hell are they fuckin ugly as sin! Lol

I'm a bigger fan of closed box intakes too. Is there one that will work with the CJ? Those open air intakes get ultra hot...

Its an ugly bitch no doubt. I need to get the proper heat shield from lethalperformance or PMAS directly. As for closed box I dont think there are any for the CJ mani.



Im a function over form guy anyways I dont care what it looks like as long as it does what its supposed to. But hey I can forsure at least say it does sound damn good from stoplights

The throttle pedal feel is so much more instant and rev happy with that VMP TB too I really like that improvement too!

Considering how pissed I was trying to get that PMAS to fit right Im pretty happy with the combo so far.
