So, the HD is going under the knife. I bought the bike knowing that I would be changing a lot of things, but for now I'm starting "small."

First round (this week ish) is going to involve a complete color change along with a lot of powder coating. I'm not a huge fan of excessive chrome, so, that's going to be the majority of the coating work. Aside from that, I'm doing a complete color change. I'm somewhat undecided on the colors as of this second, but, I'm leaning towards a darker variation of the CVO Charcoal Satin HD color with some pearl added. The Harley variant of the paint shown below.

I ordered two pounds of HD Engine wrinkle black powder coat and a pound of generic bike black. The Primary cover, battery cover, timing cover, trans side and top cover along with some other little odds and ends will all be PC'd the satin while many brackets, headlight/taillight bezels and parts of the front end will all be done in gloss black.

I'll have some pictures tonight of the teardown, here's how the bike sits now.

Must be nice working at a body shop

It's fucking awesome

Suburban is getting repainted this summer too, as well as an LS driveline. Picking up a roller 1990 suburban with the right cluster and random odds and ends I need for the swap as well as a clean interior for like $300 sometime this week. Thinking I may drop my stock drivetrain into the roller as well as my kinda roached interior and use it up north. lol.
