Brother has one. I dig it. Im just about to replace outer tie rod ends on his this weekend. Has 187k on it though. So it has lasted well.

from looking at the motor it actually looks like it's the 2.0 Zetec motor. ... I'm guessing they sold the tooling to their Spain subsidiaries.
only the transmission is USA made. .. I have a sticker in the glove box that shows its "global"content

That engine is a turd. We had one in a focus. Is the thermostat housing still plastic? I replaced that thing 4 times in just over 100k miles. You'd walk out to the car in the morning to see a giant puddle of coolant in the driveway.

It's the Duratech, did you get a 2014 or 2013 model?

If it's the 14 with the facelift it has the 170hp 2.5 Duratech IIRC

damn it looks like they never even changed the vc as they designed the duratec...figures...

fatal flaw of the thing is that when you near its cargo capacity....you aint pulling out of driveways with loose pebbles......you have to give it a "running start" so you have momentum.

for some reason i think winter is gonna suck with it pretty well loaded

Also probably a ton easier to get around in that opposed to the box truck.

My 06 focus with the 2.0 dura was sprightly enough, what's the weight limit on that thing?
