ever since i sold my last bike 2 years ago, ive had the icth to buy another. i could have just bought one out right, but then i would have 2 toys that could only be driven in nice weather, and i would always choose the bike...so, i traded the trans am.
i know i don't need to explain myself, but a lot of you will think im crazy, and i sort of agree.
My first son (first child all together) is due in Januaray, and once he comes around i want to dedicate my free time to him. i grew up with a low life dad, and i will not have my son doing the same. i work 60 hr work weeks, so i just wouldn't have had the time or motivation to go racing and the wrenching on the "race car" so i sold it for a bike, plus cash, in which i used to buy all new furniture, a new gun, and a new safe! Once my son starts to grow i plan on building a car with him, if he is into cars, as that was always my dream with my dad.
the bike is a 2005 Yamaha R1. completely bone stock, minus 2" lowering links for rear. Only 4k miles on it. i don't have many plans for it, as i don't race them on the strip or on the track, but i will be doing some. im heading up to Chicago in a couple weeks to pick up a oem set of fairings (same color), puig windscreen, flush mount turn signals, integrated brake light, and license plate mount. beyond that, i will be ditching the ugly ass tank pad, plasti dipping the bike white (not a huge fan of the color, but it isn't terrible, and the fairings have a little rash on them anyways) adding a rear seat delete, slip on exhaust, and a 6" extension. i love the look of lowered and extended bikes, and im not into wheelies, or dropping my knee around corners so it's a win win.
here are a few pics, i haven't cleaned the bike yet, and these are with a GS3
here are the last pictures of the car, being loaded onto new owners trailer, i drove it 2.5 hours to him, he did not want to make the 2.5 drive to his place.
