79vette's Rebuild Thread

Well as many of you guys know, I crashed my vette racing in Fall KOTS last October. I thought I might start this thread documenting the Rebuilding and improvement of the Race Car for the 2013 Season. I smashed up the old turbo set up pretty good, so I am going to totally redo it from scratch. I will be putting on Twin 91mm Promod turbos this time around with twin 66mm waste gates. I will also be ditching the Blow through set up and going to a sophisticated EFI set up. It will be controlled by PROEFI engine management ECm and tuned by Larry at Sound Performance.

Here are the starting pictures of the intitial Tear down or better put cutting away the bent up and broken shit.

check in often cause I will be working hard on this car for the next two months and will try to keep frequent updates on progress.

the Carb to EFI swap was planned before the crash, Believe me I wish that was all I had to do for the 2013 season.
