itching to run the car and finish dialing in the tune. If the weather holds out will be shooting to get there around 3ish.

Bringing my boys and possibly the dog.

Looks like there won’t be any non-event weekends for awhile, so it’s now or never!

How far are you from gld? A lot of us go there Byron started cracking down on tech a year or so ago most of us with quicker cars can’t run there

GLD is too far, and it’s a lot more money to bring my boys.

Edit:
Looked it up, and GLD is only 11 miles farther, but getting there takes a lot longer from Aurora.

US41 is only 20 miles farther than Byron, and it's a little cheaper. Might go there...but I think Byron it a nicer track

You should be alright, a guy I know got told he could run 11.5 or slower since he didn’t have a cage, that was when they looked over the car and figured it would be faster than 11.5, the nhra just changed the 2008 and newer rule to cover any car modified or not to 9.9 at 135 with no additional safety equipment

So no safety equipment is required down to 9.99 on a 2008+ car? No driveshaft loop, no fire jackets for power adder cars?

I did ok, thought I’d be tickling 11’s...best I could do was 12.50’s. Trapped 110 consistently. My boss has a real similar setup to mine in his 335, which is 500 lbs lighter. I was out launching him (1.7’s vs 1.9’s). He upped his boost a little and ended up running a 12.36

Literally just pulled in. My alternator died a mile from the track. Fortunately we left before my friend did. He tried to charge us , but no luck. Bought a battery at Walmart and drove almost 100 miles with no lights on, and it died at Winfield rd exit. Wife came out and we had to charge it twice to get the rest of the way home. Good times...
