This place is in Woodstock on rt 47 by the Harley dealer and they said they would do catering there . A small pig is said to feed 15-20 people . I believe the package comes with 2 sides (beans fries Cole slaw etc etc )

It's kind of expensive . I'm guessing maybe $450 .

Would need definite answers on who would go . Possibly paypal so to make sure we have all the money to pay .

They just remodeled the place and has a beer garden .

Would like to get 15-20 people . I would put in the 1st $50 . The rest would be split up per person .

I guess post in here if you are willing to go .

i feel like that's either an awfully small pig, or a whole lot of REALLY fucking hungry people... 15 for a whole pig? whoa.

Thats gotta be a tiny pig! lmao We did a 200#er for the PAF open house, it fed like 100 people and I had leftovers for days....and it was glorious.

I always see that place on the way to the lake, but $450 is ludicrous if its really for 15-20 people. I paid under $400 for that 200# one.

well $450 with sides and all the shit, if it's a real sized pig isn't terrible...

but... if it is some runt-pig that only feeds 15 people...

:nope:

Thats a little high, but the price of pork has risen significantly the last few years so Im not surprised. i was talking about what I paid for the pig and then to cook it myself. I had a company cook a pig for us once for a house party and I thing it was about $1300 to serve 70 people with sides and all.

It is, I believe the HIGH price per pound for a whole pig is just under 3 per pound dressed. For suckling pigs, prices can go up to $4 per pound. I actually need to call and reserve my pig today so I'll reply back what I am paying. I am doing something around 80-85 lbs.

A 75 pound hog will yield about 35 pounds of edible pork, enough to make about 70 pulled pork sandwiches and feed about 50 people depending on what else you are serving, average age, gender, time of day, and available alcohol.

40 pounds, gutted, head on: 3.5 hours
75 pounds: 9 hours
100 pounds: 12 hours
125 pounds: 15 hours
150 pounds: 18 hours
175 pounds: 21 hours
200 pounds: 24 hours

my family in WI did a pig roast for our family reunion. people on my snap chat saw the pig. i dont know how big it was weight wise, but it was a good 4-5 feet long. it fed close to 50 hungry people and basically everyone went home with a gallon size ziplok bag full of pork leftovers.

it took 5 guys with electric knives about 30-40 minutes to cut it all up for pulled pork.

My only input is that Porkies is probably the best BBQ I've ever had (granted I've never sought it out in like KC or other Meccas of smoke). The brisket, the sides.. It's all amazing.
