Illinois CCL holders, from the time your license went active, how long did it take to get your card? Mine went active at 92 days today but I don’t know when I should expect to get it in the mail.

I can get a quote for optics. I am a dealer for Primary Arms. Let me know what model you're looking at and I can get back to you with a quote.

My renewal just went active today at exactly 120 days, without prints submitted.

When I got my license 5 years ago, I remember it was only a short time that it took to receive it in the mail. Maybe 2 or 3 days.

92 days with electronic prints seems ridiculous. You’re paying $150 dollars to the state and that money clearly isn’t going to hiring more staff to process these licenses.

Think that is ridiculous, try buying a suppressor. Actually try buying a silencerCo bogo free deal. I've been waiting for my free one to be made and shipped to my ffl since June of last year which should be sent in the next month according ot Sico. On top of that I'll have to wait 300 days for my new form 4 to clear the NFA. Bought in the summer of 2018, won't have it in hands until summer of 2020. At least I got the one I bought finally, but the free one they are so backed up on shipping those up it's ridiculous. The NFA processed my tax stamp for my Chimera faster than SiCo could produce my free can.

What drives me nuts is you can't renew until you're within. 90 days of expiration. Since I didn't send in prints, my CCL has been expired for a month.

If it wasn't for them being illegal in IL I'd totally do it anyways. If the HPA would have passed and we had that trickle down through IL I'd be ordering the metal for pickup from mcmaster the same day to make my own.

Got 2 ATI Hybrid Omni uppers. These are the ones which are plastic and have an aluminum set of threads. They seem as sturdy as most any aluminum one I've ever seen, so we'll see how they work out. These are certainly not any lighter than an aluminum unit by any more than a half an ounce. (6.6oz on my scale to be specific.

I've got 2 Glock lowers that are 80% I need to machine out. Right now I'm thinking I'd like to make a 9mm pistol and perhaps a 22lr setup with conversion mags. The problem is that the placement of the chamber means that it's likely I'm going to have to do some serious engineering to make that happen.

Depends on the class heís shooting in, but I believe G34 is the longest Glock you can use.

My G34 build will put me in Carry Optics class, and the Beretta Elite LTT I just won would be my production class gun.

Now I need to build a full blown PCC instead of the pistol variant I just built. Live and learn.

They might allow it in Limited as well, but if you’re going to shoot in limited you’re going to want something in .40S&W to get scored in major power factor.

Good article discussing the different classes.

I’m still just getting started in this as well, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I think the best option is figure out what class you want to compete in and then get the best gun you can afford for that division.

I only shot a hand full of uspsa matches, I mostly did idpa, uspsa seemed easier but the power factor screwed me shooting 9mm for scoring
