I keep wanting to get a .22lr pistol as well just to shoot cheap, anyone ever use a .22lr conversion for their Glock or did you just go to a dedicated firearm for it?

Picked up a bug-a-salt gun. Works amazingly well and I can shoot this gun in the house!

Went to the range with my buddy that has never shot before. He did great and I’m finally getting my 300 blackout pistol to cycle subsonic rounds reliably. Found out a week ago that magpul makes a 300 blackout m3 specific mag so I picked up a couple and they worked flawlessly. Now just need to put on my suppressor when my paperwork/tax stamp comes and see how that works.

How is the accuracy on this thing?

Can I take a housefly out at say, 5 feet or so?

It's decently accurate, sprays a 2-3 inch wide shot at about 3 feet. I'm still figuring it out, but I've gotten them up to about 3 feet out so far. 5 would probably be hard. At about 1 foot, it explodes the fly.

I shot my foot from about 2 feet away and it actually stings. So it's got decent power.

My kids all go crazy when they see a fly in the house now; "dad grab the gun!!!"

Ordered two of those mags for my new build as well, heard nothing but good things. Also have some bands coming to put on the bottom of the, just so they donít go to the wrong gun....

Iím probably a bit paranoid over that but didnít want any issues....

Went this morning and got the lightweight build cycling good finally as well. Took the RBC apart to mark it, didnít realize how finicky the settings were, literally a quarter turn is full open to full closed...

DS Arms in Lake Barrington does, but it's more fun to buy a jig and do it yourself.

I don't have a welder currently and I have never welded titanium so I wouldnt want to screw it up. I've heard to just let gas keep flowing over the weld till it cools but who knows.

Is there a specific jig you're referring to? I should maybe have been more specific and am talking about a muzzle device, not a gas block.....

Yeah...should have known you meant a muzzle device. Read fast on phone and assumed gas block.

I'd bet DS Arms would still do it.

Still just doing research at this point.... I'm reading more that a carbine length gas system would work best in a 14.5" setup because it's the same amount of dwell as a 16" barrel with a mid-length. I shoot cheap ammo when I'm just shooting (usually Wolf Gold 55g) to save some money until I decide if Im going to reload, and hear that for softer ammo the carbine would likely cycle better...

Still looking into it more though.

I did absolutely ZERO research into which gas length is good for which barrel length. I bought my BCM 16" barrel with a standard gas length. Gun fires phenomenally.

My Seekins build is a beast, it uses a 16" with a mid-length gas port and zero issues...

The lightweight build is a little finicky and am still getting it dialed in. Usually issues when using cheap ammo, seems to work really well with Hornady Black 62g though.

Thinking about trying a 14.5" barrel on it with carbine length though to see if it'll work better but realistically it's not a "workhorse" by any means so maybe I'll just shoot better ammo through it. The upside if I went to a 14.5 is I would also be shaving a few more ounces off the weight.

From what my understanding is you'll get a softer shooting gun out of a longer gas system all else being equal because you can use a smaller hole in the barrel which means less peak pressure over a longer period of time. An example of practical implementation of this is the Olympic Arms AR pistol that used a "spring shaped" buffer tube. See below. That said haven't ever tested it so take that for what it's worth (not much.)

I get the reasoning behind a longer gas system, but for the sake of shooting softer ammo, I'm looking at the carbine length system on purpose...

Got an email back from DS arms and they're a no-go on Ti welding, they said try ADCO, and they are also a no-go on Ti welding....

Might just have to go to my buddy whos a machinist to drill it out for the pin, then find a welding shop and drop the Ti pin in there and have them weld it?
