Our company is an information security consulting firm focused on providing security and compliance solutions for mid to large sized corporations in the Chicago area. We have an IMMEDIATE opening for an Outside Sales Associate. The perfect candidate would be an experienced, dynamic and high energy individual who excels in generating sales leads and turning them into closed business. Getting in on the ground floor of our small company guarantees lots of opportunities to advance your career.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Acquire new clients by focused direct prospecting through telephone and in-person calls to current and potential accounts
• Work our warm leads in targeted accounts for a fast start
• Understand customer business drivers and needs qualifying prospects
• Coordinate prospect meetings, teleconferences, and communications
• Provide management with oral and written reports on the customer needs, problems, interests, market situation, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services
• Work with management to assess the opportunity and develop a consultative approach that best meets each client’s unique requirements
• Be able to present the company’s value proposition and support program offerings to prospects and answer questions as needed
• Create and deliver business proposals and statements of work. Answer customer’s questions and perform necessary follow-up to close the business
• Manage a sales pipeline. Focus on driving and closing business to achieve targets
• Be knowledgeable about products, applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems or the equivalent in experience
• Experience in selling solutions that are mainly consulting services
• Experience in telesales or telemarketing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Technical knowledge of network and systems infrastructure products
• Extensive use and mastery of Microsoft Office
• Consulting experience and background
• Customer support and interaction
Skills and Knowledge:
• Professional prospecting and telesales skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong business background to understand and communicate financial models for return on investment, total cost of ownership and cost benefit
• Technical knowledge of network infrastructure and security products and solutions
• Sales background, experience and training
• Understanding of the consulting business
• Ability to work in a team environment.
