Make and maintain dies. Dies go into punch presses and produce piece parts. A lot of the work Jimmy's shop did was produce metal rings for gaskets and transmissions.

If it's metal and stamped it came out of a die. Think anything from car fenders to small electrical terminals. I do the same thing and I've worked on dies that make everything from seat belt buckles to electric laminations that go inside electric motors.
