not true..componets can carry a 1080p signal and carry it very well. im running 1080p from my 360 through components.

all the new samsung tvs can also accept a 1080p signal through their component inputs:D

You must have a special 360 then. My 6 month old premium wont run1080p to my 58" 1080p panasonic plasma through component. It did however through HDMI. I guess my $5000 plasma is broke. Or maybe my 50" 1080p panasonic plasma is broke too. Or maybe my last 3 xbox360s that all had HDMI were bad from microsoft....aside from the red ring. Same goes with my 80gig PS3 that I just sold.

thats because your $5000 plasma will not accept 1080p through the component inputs, only some sets will

and why i said the new samsungs will as mine does..my old one would not

and the 1080p was implemented through a software update from microsoft a long time ago..

my 360 doesnt even have an HDMI output so i was running 1080p though VGA untill i got my new tv and have been using the components

the cables are perfectly capeable of doing the job, but just like you said most sets and devices dont support it or have an HDMI/DVI port instead:biggthump

i need a wall plate for l&r audio and video as well as an s video on my ceiling going to the corner of the same room. it is only about 20 feet across the ceiling and down the wall. it is for a hd projector!

anyone??!!

I will give a guy a call Sun. that I know that does nothing but high end home audio/visual out of Barrington and see if he would want to take a side job. I will check here first but if you dont mind I will have him give you a call on your cell. I still have the number, if you dont mind. I will let you know here before I give him the number and if he want to do it.
