Sparkplug gap for LS1

I bought some ngk plugs and they were gapped at .040 but i have read gaps be anywhere from .040 to .060

What is a reasonable gap. I set them to .050 to be right in the middle.

Is this acceptable?

Maybe none, maybe a little. More spark = better burn = more pah.

V power come with random gaps. No reason you can't change them. I've seen them out of the box from .035-.060

so what is the difference between tr5 and tr6? Heat ranges I assume

Would it make that big of a difference at this point? I don't have much for mods and I don't plan on going for big pah until I pay this off which is about in a year n a half-ish lol and I don't plan on putting the t/a on roids anytime soon

If you don't have spray or boost TR5 is fine. TR6 is just a cooler heat range, which you really don't need without a power adder. Your gap of .050" is fine.

Much agreed. ^^^I don't see the reason in anyone getting Tr6s if you just have bolt ons/ or are NA. You won't see any gains from it. I'm running the NGK TR55 Iridiums, I have no complaints. Stock gap is .60 for an LS1 so I do .55.
