You can but it is extremely limited to "prevent" you from hitting things.

if they want to prevent people from hitting things, they should install some type of cell phone jammer in cars so you cant use the phone from inside the car.

Update to this. My friend did this mod for me and it works perfect on my GP GXP. He said the only difference was that the green/white wire on the corvette harness was actually the green wire on the gp harness. Which is in the same spot on the harness. If anyone want's this done to their corvette or GP navi let me know and I'll pm you with his number. He said he'll do it for a fair price.
