Weird issue with new car - Caddy stability control kicking on

To replace the Dart, we picked up an '04 SRX and have experienced a couple of times the stability control system kicking in on tight slower turns, like turning into a tight parking spot. Or last night I was at a gas station and drove over the tank caps while turn and the system kicks in and kicks in the ABS...

Anyone know where to start looking to see what needs to be replaced or repaired? Did some searching and saw other owners complaining about the system kicking in at 60+ mph and pulling the car into other lanes. This isn't what I've experienced but has me concerned with this system as well...

Any experienced GM/Caddy techs?

Maybe the ABS sensor in the rear diff is coated in shavings/sludge?

6 cylinder AWD.

The ABS sensor is in the diff? I thought they are usually at the hubs?

My Expedition had its in the Diff and was AWD, just throwing it out there

Srxs are pretty decent. I put offers out on three. I dig em.

They're nice. But crazy expesnive to work on or get any parts for. Dealer for almost everything it seems.

the speed sensors are in the wheel hub, not differential. chances are one is bugging out at low speeds, which is really common on GMs. get a scan tool and watch each wheel speed when it happens. i'd bet one drops to zero

I replaced the sensor in the steering column when my Caddy Stability Control was misbehaving. Use the onboard diagnostics to get the codes and then check them on the internet. They'll probably tell you exactly which sensor is misbehaving.
