Default Programmer? SuperChip? Tuner?

I have 2004 GMC Sierra 5.3 L V8 and I need help deciding between a programmer, Superchip, and a tuner. Which one will add more MPG?

Custom tune is probably your best bet.

Either go to speedinc for a tune or get a mail order. Check out gmfullsize.com and you will find a ton of info.

I was looking for a forum where knowledgable people could give me the best advice for my truck and I found y'all. But no I'm not from the area I'm from down south.

Dare I ask where "Down south" is? Illinois, or really far down south more towards the gulf or something?

Mail order where you provide data logs is going to be the next best thing to custom. "Canned" tunes in a lot of cases are just more fuel/timing/a few tweaks of the code.
