Looking at a 2010/2011 Equinox 4cyl. Does anyone have experience with these?

Looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly.

My mom has had her's for two years almost 40k on the clock and zero flaws. I actually kinda like it myself because getting in the seat isn't too low like a car or two high like a truck.

The only thing I didn't like is that the breaks were on the touchy side.

The four-cylinder's real-world gas mileage is much worse than the EPA ratings. Both front- and all-wheel drive versions won't meet those numbers. Otherwise, it's a great car with quiet and smooth ride quality, tons of second-row and cargo room.

I have read that. Do you know of any places that give accurate REAL WORLD numbers?

I got 30mpg from hoffman estates to nashville in my moms fwd 4 banger 2012 equinox LT in Eco mode.

I would buy one. It had grown on me since I had to start driving this around.

My sister has a 2011 4 banger awd and got 24 mpg from Hoffman to Nashville in Eco mode.

My mom has, a few minor things in the last few years, but the major complaint is, as stated, the relatively poor gas mileage.

What is it rated? I just filled it up after all main/side streets and it was 22mpg.

I noticed my Camry has a bigger gas tank then the equinox and it seemed like I filled I up more but it is going more miles with less gas then my Camry.
