I bought a couple full strips of prime strip steak. Cut a dozen steaks from each one. I trimmed the fat and put it in a couple vacuum bags in the freezer along with the steaks.
This is prime beef so I don't want to waste the fat.
McDonald's used to use beef fat in their fry oil until the MSM complained about it. Now, studies are reportedly showing that beef fat may actually be healthier for you than vegetable oils especially in high heat cooking.
I'm debating what to do with it. Could do a Yorkshire pudding or melt it down and use it for fries, etc. Could put a piece in the skillet instead of oil to give the food I fry some umami flavor.
What do you guys do with your beef fat?
