Popcorn Infrared vs. Traditional Grills

Planning on snagging a hybrid but anyone go absolute fucking nuts with these high end luxury grills in efforts of obtaining the real deal steak house quality?

This natural gas grill is decent but doesn't really fit the space nor the house.

https://blog.yaleappliance.com/infra...-grill-burners

may get this, one infrared burner and the others conventional

I never noticed much difference when I had an infrared grill. Mine, at least, was more gimmick than substance.

Ya I think they need to get to 900-1100 degrees. I don't eat steak all the time so for sure needs to be a hybrid as conventional seems better for everything but beef...

No direct experience with infrared. But my neighbor had one and hated it and went back to gas. I dont recall his reasons why, but he is a guy that grills very often.

Ya reviews seem fine when you're in this other galaxy price range. I'm 95% buying it because it should be with the house that will eventually be up for sale.

Using a chimney method to get to 1,000*?

I can see 700* using lump charcoal but 1,000* is tough. Probably obtainable if you use a chimney method like Alton Brown did in one of his videos.

No, I don't really use the lid gauge for anything outside of "can i touch this with my bare hand". It's either laser or probe.

You know you went full retard when a semi has to deliver dat grill.

Luckily found the warehouse sections of their website and they have no problem giving 40% off for shipping box damage.
