I usually just pick up a 6 pack of Reds, and some red apples. Boil in the pot, brown on the grill, back in the pot for a couple, serve.

I know there is also a recipe that calls for mashing the apples you have floating in the ale and brats and using it as a topping.

I dont do that, but the taste is still amazing. I think you can tell a difference between beer and an apple ale.

I had a few pieces of thick cut bacon left over so I have been having deli hotdogs wrapped in bacon grilled on the Weber for lunch the last couple days. Toasty buns and some pricey cheddar cheese. Sprinkled with celery salt.

Little off topic but I finally found a place that sells factory Weber parts to convert my Weber Genesis 310 from LG to NG. For whatever reason, finding information and factory parts is a PITA. Anyways, I'm pretty excited not to have to deal with LG anymore.

Does anyone know how much liquid smoke to use when sous vide-ing a ~10lb pork shoulder? I've sous vide-ed pork shoulders before, and love the way they come out...but never been happy with the smokiness. I do 24 hours at 165 in the sous vide, then smoke it at 215 for a couple hours just to add flavor and get a bark on the outside.

Planning on adding liquid smoke to the vacuum bag...but don't know how much to use, and don't want to overdo it.
