Since you ask, get rid of the public voting! Cant stand shows that are judge like that.

Fair enough... That could deff b an option?? But 2 questions, why is it u don't like that exactly, n where exactly can I find some non bias judges?? Now I'm not sayin the public vote will b a deciding factor in the end, but I do know that in the past it does make SOME people feel it turns out a lil more fair/even.?
On a real note, I do mildly c wat ur saying cause, how can some1 who knows absolutely nothing bout cars be a decent judge on an event of this caliber, when all some public judging will b based on, look at thet caar... I haven't seen 1 of those in a looong time, that's da best in show for sure.....
But please give me ur opinion on why??? And every1 else, plz chime in on this as well!!

i think what hes saying and you touched on it too is that you get a lot of people who dont know what theyre looking at judging cars so they vote for the most outlandish looking thing they can find. a car with lambo doors, ridiculous paint job, slammed on chrome 22s beats the super clean near stock looking 1000hp car.

theres a show they do up in michigan that sounds very similar that has a "fan favorite" category amoung others that official judges vote for. as far as where to get judges id say members of different forums so its not biased towards any particlar brand?

sounds great though, wish they had more stuff like that out here

Because in the past what I have seen is this, car A has X amount friends at the show and really is not that nice of a car but since he has X amount of friends there he takes the class because they all voted for it. But in reality it should of been car B or C ect... that won. Have seen this time and time again at shows where it is participate vote or public vote over the last 20 years. It never cease to amaze me what would win at those types of shows and it is sad that some people do this but it happens and happens a lot at shows. I have seen some straight up junk win.

As for judges that are non bias, thats a tough one. The best show I was ever was judged by a custom auto body and paint shop. But I know that would not be the easiest thing in the world to find a bunch of auto body and upholstery guys to judge a show. Just an example for ya.

EDIT:I will admit I missed where you said you will also judge all cars also by judges too......sorry, my bad! The show does sound cool and I wish ya luck with it!

Which business is the event taking place at? There is a shopping center at that address.

Sounds cool. But what pisses me off is the ding-a-ling who wins an award with a car he just picked up off the showroom floor. All he had to do was wipe the bugs off the windshield!!
I think any event that has judging should be done by actual judges and participants.
Screw the public. The public can't vote. Look who's in the White House!!

We actually plan on filling the whole lot!! The reason that lot was chosen, is cause my girl owns a salon there n the landlord is a good custy of mine..

Totally understandable, yet the public is not the only judges, anyone can partake in the judging, it cost I believe $5 extra on top of enry fees to b able to judge the others. And we are also having 5 or 6 TRU judges to actually do the judging this Sunday, I don't want people thinking this will b jus another lame, all the kids vote for there boy, n the 1992 CRX wins..... The fact of the public BEIN ABLE TO VOTE, doesn't mean that, they are the only votes that count!! This will b a FAIR JUDGED SHOW, I'm sure of the fact! I really am hoping that this, public vote doesn't scare away anyone?!!!! I am really looking to have a huge turnout, n deff don't want some of the nicer cars not to show, cause they r expecting the foul judgin!!!
