Sony PlayStation 3 New Models Announced

4

August 19th, 2010

Sony decided to use the Gamescom 2010 as a reason to announce 2 new PlayStation3 editions. The announcement was made through Andrew House, who is the CEO of Sony Europe. The new PlayStation 3 models will come with various improvements consisting in more storage space and the Sony Move motion sensitive controller.
PlayStation 3 will be available in 2 new models :

  • the first one will be a cheaper model which comes with 160GB of storage space at a price of $299.99
  • the better upcoming PS3 model will be released with the PlayStation Move sensitive controller and it is capable of storing up to 320 GB of HDD space and it comes with several bonus game titles. The release date for such model has been set for September 19th.
Sony decided to create and release the PlayStation Move sensitive controller this year and with the Move controller they try to challenge the Nintendo Wii. So, if the Move controller will be able to offer the same amount of fun that the Wii currently provides for its owners, then we can expect that Sony will decide to expand its market and this thing will make happy customers worldwide, as we all know more competition brings better services and products.
With the Nintendo Wii already available and the Microsoft’s Kinect and Sony’s PlayStation Move controller on their way to be released, it means that in the near future the gaming industry will record a massive boost in the number of sold products, and this can only be good news for gaming enthusiasts as this will greatly challenge the developers to create and release better and better games. So, stay tuned for more news about the Sony’s new PlayStation Move sensitive controller.
