Plasti Dip Bullitt

This will be particularly interesting to those who are broke as shit and looking to change things up a bit. I always liked the look of black rims and seeing as I'm in college and broke as hell this seemed like the only way to accomplish the look I wanted for less than $30

Decided to go with flat black Plasti Dip on the stock bullitt wheels.

Started the process by priming the rims with a thorough wash on the inside and out. Followed that by scrubbing them down with brake cleaner -> degreaser -> and then mineral spirits.

Heres the before of the front and back side.

Sprayed (Still wet)

Only had time to get the rear two wheels sprayed and I plan on having the other two done tomorrow. I'll post the final pics tomorrow with some better lighting conditions.

Once I have everything finished wheel wise I think we're going to take off the spoiler and match that to the rims. Either that or I'm just going to remove it all together. Anyone got any opinions on that? :hsughno:

Well I was thinking that it might compliment the rims. Was also thinking about taking off the hood scoop and spraying that too. Similar to the mach 1..

I have been thinking of doing this on my daily's rims. The finish turned out great on my trans am's bumper that I did. Anyone that has done this remove the stuff at a later date?

I think all they have is black, blue and possibly red (they have the dip in red) but no textures.

It's made to coat tools and stuff.

I like em, they were put on when I bought the car. I'm curious to see how they handle this winter.

While we were waiting for paint to dry we decided to drop in a whipple 2.9, turbo, some nitrous, and a cold air intake.

I'll have pics of the finished product tomorrow when I have better light to take them in.
