I have a 1 acre lot so I need a decent size rider. Bought this Club Cadet RZT-S a few years back. 54" deck. Has a little bitch steering wheel instead of levers. Hard to drink a beer with 2 levers!

Damn thing didn't come with any lights so I wired up a light bar in the front!

Also have a Hotsy HEATED pressure washer. 5 HP Briggs runs on gas then has a diesel tank to run the heater. The thing is a beast and when your cleaning off road toys, it makes a world of difference.

Outlaw, wolfe and crooks like this.

It's the difference between a badged unit made elsewhere or a machine made by JD in Wisconsin. Most everything from the big box stores is a different line made exclusively for that purpose... To compete with the sub $2,000 units available at HD, Menards, etc...

moral of the story is dont buy new.

there are a reason why these 20, 30, and 40 year old machines still have a following and will out perform any of the new shit on the market today.

i use a 1972 cub cadet 128 for all my yard work at my house.
and a 149 for snow plowing at my shop
and a 105 for pulling junks around the yard at shop
theyre freaking work horses.

try pushing or pulling a car with a modern belt driven machine of today... good luck.

This. 90's is about as late as I'll go. My 455 is a 94 and my LX176 is somewhere in the late 90's (haven't ran the serial to get the exact year). The LX is a drive belt machine, but, considering that will pretty much only cut grass and pull a fertilizer spreader it'll be just fine. My 420 does work up north, soon to be replaced by the 455 while I blow the 420 apart to freshen it up.

Had a Deere 112L that was my father in laws that he bought new in 83 or 84 and I got from him. Replaced it with a Husqvarna LGT24-56 I believe. It's got the upgraded 26hp Yamaha engine and a 56" fab deck. Got it for a steal last fall on CL. Had very low hours.

Any chance you looked into this? If you wanted it I'd let it go for $150 just because it's TCG and I can use the room in the shed.

If not I'll toss it onto CL and eBay and take my chances with them. LOL
