Picked up a new 2016 Polaris rzr turbo over the weekend. I was hell bent on putting a turbo on 2013 rzr 900 but after adding up the cost, I would have been money ahead just buying a new one. Plus Polaris has about $2,000 off in rebates right now (bad snowmobile sales.)

Went all the way down Abernathy's in Union City, TN. Highest volume Polaris dealer in the nation. They had about 60 new turbo rzr out back! Place was crazy.

On to the picture.

I have doors, aftermarket cage, graphics, exhaust and a stereo on order. I'll update with pictures as it progresses.

We invade this little town called Amasa, MI. Town is super small and if we see 5 people on the trail over the weekend, it's been a "busy" weekend on the trails. Been going for about 5 years and never seen DNR.

As far as turbo size, I have no idea. I'm all over the RZR forums and no one has had the turbo off of one yet. However, I'm sure I will upgrade when the time comes..

Ordered a knock down cage kit from Cage Wrx with integrated rear bumper and roof. I don't trust the stock cage in the event of a crash or roll. Stocker would bend like a pretzel, thin wall tubing just doesn't work. New cage is 1.75 inch OD by .095 wall thickness. It's also about 6 inches shorter in height than the stocker.

Old cage off, convertible rzr?

Aluminum roof had some oxidation. Hopefully a Scott Brite pad will take it down before painting.

Pretty much the final product. Love the shape of the cage.

Had to remove the cage, flip it over to weld the bottom side. Afterwards, we flipped it right side up welded the flag mounts, Dzus fasteners for the roof on, also mocked up the brackets for the 40" Ridge light bar [emoji5]

Waiting for a break in the weather to get some paint on it and install it back onto the car. Final pictures to follow.

Got some painting done on the cage the last two nights in between the rain. Shooting for 2 coats primer, 3 coats color. Cage/bumper is getting painted velocity blue to match the plastics and the roof is going to be black.

Also started to mess around with the stereo install. It's getting kick panel speaker pods (SSV works), 6.5 inch marine Rockford Fosgate speakers, Rockford Fosgate marine mini amp (intended for Harley Davidson motorcycles), and a Rockford Fosgate PMX-2 head unit with Bluetooth.

Got the speaker pods and speakers installed in between painting the cage/bumper/roof. Speaker install looks so clean! [emoji51]

That's about as far as I got with the stereo install. I need to pick up some aluminum stock to make a mounting plate for the amp and fuse block. Didn't feel like leaving the house in case it started to rain on the freshly painted cage.

Hopefully I will finish the 3 coat of paint on the cage tonight and call it done. I am busy the rest of the week, planning on dropping the cage in on Saturday. Can't wait to see how it looks on the car!
