Default Snow blower won't start - suggestions?

I have this massive snow blower that won't start. Not sure why.

Need to get in the garage today and look at it.

Where should i start? I don't know shit about small engines and how they work.

Guessing its an issue with spark though.

BRB, going to check it. Hit me with ideas. Pics and more info to follow.

Did it have gas in it? I know I had an issue with old gas last year. I siphoned it all out and put in new gas. After about ten minutes of cursing and trying to start it, it finally turned over.

Changing the spark plug wouldn't hurt either. I think I'll do that as well. I've had it a few years and have yet to change it.

Did you leave gas in it or run it dry?

I'm going to jump on too....mine will run when feeding starter fluid, so I'm sort of ruling out spark/magneto. I pulled the fuel line to the carb and it's not clogged. One thing that was interesting, the primer won't actually pump any gas into the carb? Carb clogged?

If no spark then probably needs a new coil or your switch is unhooked/broke

Pull switch and make sure it has continuity and the wire isn't broken inside.

don't leave gas in anything that's stored. i always run the lawn mower, snow blower, weedwhacker whatever it is, until it empties out before storing.

Never had an issue putting gas in the next season and firing it right back up.

No, I always just turned the throttle all the way down and it shut off.
