perfect motor

hey what up I'm new to the svt chicago forums and i just recently became a cobra owner...
well wen i got this car i had a 600 whp goal in mind what would be the perfect setup motor wise for this i know the basics like i beam rods low comp pistons (gonna be turbocharged) what other stuff should be know to my little intelligence for the 97 cobra? plz help

It's not that tough with these 4V engines.

Stock crank is fine, forged rods get some ARP2000 bolts for added insurance and forged pistons. On these 4V's don't go too low with the compression. I personally went with -11cc dish. I think I'm in the 9.2:1 CR.
Stock heads and cams are fine, stock intake is fine.

What turbo or kit you looking at?

well im looking at something like a t3 t4 turbo the setup...wat other turbo would u recomnd.. will be built by me and dont worry about the though if i was worried about the cash i would have bought a little 4 banger.. i have all winter to build it...

I would agree Precision 76GTS. I have a Master Power T70 on mine, it made 600 to the tire through a TH400 trans, but the turbo is tapped out. The 76GTS should have no issues making 600 with some room to grow. T4 .96 housing. Should spool pretty well on the street too.
